Illegal Aliens.
Not only will Bush get his amnesty package through Congress, meaning that 12 million illegal aliens will become legal (and I'm betting that the part about the fine will vanish faster than the Republican majority) but the Democratic Congress will also be giving them a pay raise, courtesy of the Nancy Pelosi, who wants to raise the minimum wage by a couple of dollars.
I guess Christmas came a month early for the illegals.
You know, a few months ago, I saw a sign at an illegal immigration rally that said "Today We March; Tomorrow We Vote."
Why bother? We'll do it for you.

Posted by: Chris Wage on November 12, 2006 1:27 PMI fell on your site by accident or maybe because i was suppose to, i am voting on because i was suppose to, while i am not single happily married for 13 years this Febuary, we do have a few things in common i know a little about the military not enlisted personaly but my father served a tour for 10 years in the early to late 70's. although i was young it is still apart of me and what i remember was a lot of my dad being gone.
i am contacting you due to what you concluded about your self not knowing if there really is a creator, if you are still searching that consept with out digging in deep i can not pass along with out saying He exsists and has changed my life, I will be praying for you and your family, we only get one life to, we make mistakes and then we go on, to learn from them or not, i have to say that i have been learning form mine.
I have a problem with giving people who snuck over the border illegally a free pass and a pay raise, while telling those who tried to obey the law and enter legally, "Oh well. Better luck next time."
When you reward illegal behavior, guess what happens? You encourage others to follow suit.

Now at the same time, a friend of mine, who came here from Canada, with a college degree and teaching certifications, can't find decent paying work because of her status. She can't get a green card because the allotment is up until April. Her visa expires in March. If she does the legal thing and goes back when it expires, she has to start the immigration process all over again. If she stays for the month, they could deport her for over-staying the visa. Talk about a screwed up situation!
Funny though ... she tells me that Canada is begging for immigrants. Why can't we ship some of ours on up there?
