Doing some housecleaning

I'm trying to learn CSS so I can easily update my archive and catagory templates to match my main page. it's slow going, so if you see some weird things here, don't worry, I haven't been hacked, just messing with my coed.

Er, code.

I was down to your part of the country in September. Stopped off the highway and found myslef smack in the middle of stores and musuems dedicated to country music and southern hospitality. Got some great stuff. It was approximately twenty miles northeast of Knoxville but I cannot remember the name. on the way down myself and two truckers became incensed by a car full of hippies from Oregon with an impeach Bush bumper sticker. As you can imagine we were not amused bringing that trash east of the Mississippi. We almost ran her off the road after she gave us the finger, but cooler heads prevailed. anyway stayed in knoxville for two days. Great city. Talked with an absolutely lovely southern girl at a bar right near U of T. Quite a difference from the Jersey girls I am accustomed to. Just thinking about that trip while digging out from two feet of snow. Great blog - one of the best i have seen. Dean

Thank you for the compliments, sir, both for my blog and my hometown. Please come back anytime.

I've traveled through jersey a time or two, and have nothing but good things to say about that state. One time, I was on the turnpike headed south for home. I panned on stopping near NYC for a couple of days to see the sights. AS I pulled into a toll booth, my car died. If you want quick response when your car dies, there's no better place to be than blocking a toll booth. A wrecker was there inside of 5 minutes.

They towed me to their garage, and found out I had a bad alternator. When I told the guy who ran the place what my plans were, He had one of his drivers take me to a nearby motel, and got me the locals rate. The place was nice, and was about a 20 minute bus ride to the Port Authority terminal.

I figure breaking down saved me about $200, even after paying for the tow and the repairs.

Y'all have some nice folks up there.

Take care.
